Yes. In South Africa you can get contraception confidentially from age 12, free at public clinics, without a parent's permission.

What's happening

The Children's Act gives you the right to contraceptive services from 12 if you understand the advice. Clinics also provide condoms, HIV testing and STI treatment on the same basis. Staff should not turn you away or require a parent.
